Benjamin Weisner for State Representative District 89

Moving Auburn forward towards a brighter and stronger city for all

Education and Work

Ben has a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a minor in political science and now works for his own company, Breakwater Public Adjusting. He works hard for homeowners to get what they deserve from the insurance company. Before working in public adjusting, Ben worked for the Department of Transportation, inspecting the construction projects and ensuring that they conformed with state standards.

Political Experience

Ben spent time in Washington DC working for Susan Collins in 2012. In his role in her office he interacted with her constituents. He listened to their concerns and passed the information to the Senator and her staff. He also worked to schedule appointments.

Community Involvement

Ben is very much involved in his community, including his role as the Balloon Miester at this year’s Great Falls Balloon Festival. He is been a member of the Kora Shrine where he has held leadership roles. He is also on a scholarship committee awarding money to local students to help with tuition.

In his spare time, Ben plays the bagpipes with the Kora Highlanders. Most recently he played in the Memorial Day Parade in Old Orchard Beach and at Windjammer Days in Boothbay Harbor
